Job Description: Summit Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a qualified Robotic Welder Programmer to join our growing robotic welding team. The ideal candidate will have experience in robot/cobot programming, MIG welding processes, and a basic knowledge of reading prints. This role involves programming welding robots to perform various welding tasks, setting up the robots, and ensuring the welding process operates accurately and consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program welding robots for specific jobs, including GMAW (MIG) welding tasks.
- Set up and maintain welding robots and fixtures.
- Design fixtures to present parts correctly for efficient welding.
- Troubleshoot programming-related issues to maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure the welding process runs accurately and consistently.
- Collaborate with team members to improve welding processes and efficiency.
Skills Needed:
- Proficiency in robot/cobot programming.
- Experience with MIG welding processes.
- Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting prints.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
Knowledge Required:
- Understanding of welding technology, including various welding processes.
- Familiarity with Fanuc cobots and related equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a welding environment.
Ability to Implement:
- Ability to program and set up welding robots.
- Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the welding process.
- Skill in designing fixtures for efficient welding operations.
- Competence in maintaining accurate and consistent welding processes.
