Role: New Business Development

Primary Responsibility: Customer Acquisition

Description of the role:

New Business Development team members have primary stewardship over the purposeful and proactive acquisition of new customers. They are responsible for developing relationships with customers to expand the client portfolio. New Business Development team members are responsible for identifying sales prospects and leads as well as understanding the needs of potential customers to serve as a platform for introducing the company’s products and services.

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Database and industry research to identify new markets, channels and business
  • Execution of phone calls and email correspondence with prospective customers
  • Execution of the PBO Program life cycle according to established guidelines and
  • Understanding customer supply chain needs and updating account relevancy/profile pads.
  • Using customer relevancy/profile pad information to propel education opportunities.
  • Utilizing customer feedback to evaluate our level of investment in addressing areas of
  • Supporting the launch of new products through proactive education.
  • Collaborating with the Sales Manager on sales
