Position: Mechanical Engineer/Product Designer/CAD Operator
Location: Alpena, MI

Maybe you do not have Engineering experience but do have a strong technical background and an interest in Engineering? Omni Metalcraft Corp. is seeking talented and motivated Mechanical Engineers, Product Designers and CAD Operators to join our Distributor, Integrator and OEM Teams. Ideal candidates will be responsible for designing various material handling equipment and associated components, including but not limited to conveyors. This role requires a strong technical background, creativity, and a passion for design.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Design and develop innovative material handling equipment and components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Manufacturing, Sales and other Enigineers, to ensure designs meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Utilize 3D design software (SolidWorks preferred) to create detailed models and drawings.
- Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve product quality and functionality.
Ideal candidates:
- Have good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of mechanical concepts.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes used to fabricate parts using sheet metal, structural steel and machined components.
- Experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred). Training is available.
- Able to use Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
