CAD Operator/Designer

Omni Metalcraft, a leading distributor of conveyors and material handling equipment, is seeking CAD Operators/Designers of all skill levels to join our dynamic Engineering team. We are looking for individuals with a passion for design and a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD software to create detailed customer and manufacturing drawings
• Create Bill of Materials using business management software
• Gather job-related information and collaborate with sales, operations, and manufacturing teams
• Perform basic calculations and resolve any issues with manufacturing
• Participate in inspections as needed

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CAD tools, with SolidWorks experience preferred
• Strong understanding of mechanical concepts and mechanical drafting fundamentals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
• Strong math skills and problem-solving abilities
• Proactive, self-motivated, and organized

Position Type:

• In-office work environment with the opportunity for periodic remote work
• 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm with a 1-hour lunch
